Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 10) Help

To Insert a Curved Boundary

  1. Select the Insert Curve tool from the Cogo Editor.

A STO CURV line appears in the Command list box between the To_POB and From_POB indicators and below the active (highlighted) line. The values from the last active line appear on the command line.

The bottom of the menu displays input fields and curve direction arrows (left and right).

  2. Click on the direction of the curve, Left or Right arrow.

CC (left) or CL (right) appear in the command line.

  3. Select Decimal or DD’MM’SS’ from the Angle Format menu.
  4. Turn on Traverse if the tangent is a traverse, turn it off, if it is not.
  5. Key in the values to define the curve and press Enter. (Radius and arc length are commonly used, however there are fields for Angle, Chord, and Tangent as well.)

The value is displayed in the Command list box. The length, chord, and radius are transformed to feet.
